HIGH SCHOOL HEAD COACHES

USA Lacrosse Membership & Background Check: Your USA Lacrosse membership must be valid through the end of the 2023 season (May 31, 2023). You can renew your membership by logging in online at usalacrosse.com. USA Lacrosse now requires a background check and Abuse Prevention Systems Training when renewing your membership. You will be prompted to complete when you renew manually. If your membership is on autorenew, log into your account to access the background check. (ANNUAL)

USA Lacrosse Abuse Prevention Systems Training: This training is now required by USA Lacrosse. Training can be accessed through your USA Lacrosse online account, under Quick Links on the right side of the page. (ANNUAL)

First Aid/CPR : This can be done through an organization of your choosing. Most certifications last 2 years and must be valid through May 31, 2023. (EVERY TWO YEARS)

Red Cross: Red Cross Classes

Concussion training: Each coach is required to update their concussion training each year. Please follow one of the links below to enroll in the online course. Once completed, download a copy of your completion certificate and send it to your league rep. This must be completed AFTER August 31st, 2022. (ANNUAL)

CEP Level 1: This is completed through USA Lacrosse. Follow the link to find a clinic that works for you: US Lacrosse Clinic Lookup. There are also opportunities for Level 2 and Level 3 training, however this is not required for head coaches. (ONE TIME ONLY)

Online Registration: Please go online and register yourself as a coach on the OGLA website. Click on the BLUE registration button "COACH & MANAGER" and designate your role with the program. If you have been a coach/manager before, you should have a login. If not, you will need to create a new account. Follow the prompts to complete registration. You WILL NOT be able to register if your USA Lacrosse membership is expired or will expire before May 31, 2023. (ANNUAL)

Code of Conduct: A copy of the OGLA Coaches Code of Conduct is available under the documents tab on the OGLA website. It's required for all our coaches to read and agree to this code each year. If you have registered online, you're done! Through that process you are asked to read and accept. (ANNUAL)

All certifications will be sent to your league representatives and they will submit to OGLA.

 

**High School Head Coaches must be at least 21 years of age

 

All High School Coaches must submit certifications to their league rep and register online by FEBRUARY 17TH, 2023.
