Women's National Tournament Team (NT)

This is the team that represents OREGON at the NATIONAL TOURNAMENT over Memorial Day Weekend each year.  It's the biggest college recruiting event of the year. The 2019 National Tournament will be held in Baltimore, MD at Towsen University. In addition the team will get the chance to watch the NCAA women's lacrosse finals at Towsen! Sunday, April 14th, 12pm-3:30pm @ Oregon Episcopal School




Tryouts: Please make sure you wear a white t-shirt to tryout with no logos and dark shorts. Do not wear any other item with a school logo on it. Bring all lacrosse gear, appropriate layers for the weather, snacks and water. Please arrive between 11:30-11:45am. Tryouts will consist of approx. 2 hours of a warm-up, stations, running and end with a full length scrimmage. There will be breaks for water.


Once the team is selected, more information will follow.

The team will leave on Friday, May 24th and return on Monday, May 27th.

There may be 1-2 practices held prior to the tournament and all players are expected to help run the t-shirt tent at the semi-final and final games


The approximate cost of the trip is $1000-$1200 (this includes everything except food and spending money).

Players can significantly reduce the cost through fundraising that OGLA and the National Team coaches will help with.


2019 Coaches - 

Head Coach: McKenzie Coulson (Jesuit High School)

McKenzie Coulson is in her 12th year of head coaching, and third year at Jesuit. Coulson has led the Crusaders to three metro league championships and played state final game in 2018. Previously, Coulson was the assistant coach to Natalie Harrington at George Fox University helping the Bruins win two division titles. Before taking the position at Jesuit, she was the head coach at Tigard High School, where she is currently an English teacher and the leadership adviser. She has been in education for 12 years. Coulson coached club for six years at LaxNw and coached for 3D in the 2018-19 season. She played high school lacrosse at Lakeridge High School and was on the last state championship team for the Pacers. Coulson went on to play two years of club lacrosse in college and has stayed around the game ever since. She always wants her girls to have fun, and play hard for their teammates! 

Assistant Coach: Emily Allen (West Albany High School)

Emily first discovered lacrosse in 2006 and fell in love with being goalie. She played for Clackamas High School and then for Johnson & Wales University -Providence. In 2016 she joined West Albany Girls Lacrosse as an assistant coach. She is now in her third season as the head coach for West Albany High School.
