Youth Box Lacrosse - 3d Oregon
by posted 09/16/2019

3d Lacrosse is excited to bring training for new and younger players using a small arena during our OBLL. Our staff at 3d Lacrosse has decades of collective experience coaching the box lacrosse game. This is one of the best environments for new players to be introduced to the game. The skills used in box lacrosse make our players better on the field. When taught the correct way, players will experience tremendous skill development in the box which translates to the field as a leader, thinker, and skilled playmaker. It is simply the fastest engine of skill development in the sport.

Our league is one of the only leagues that incorporates training in addition to weekly games. Players will be able to translate the skills they learn during training and see immediate improvement on the floor. Box Lacrosse skills and techniques such as high level stick handling, finishing, faking, feeding, physical dodging, the two man game, picks and screens, off ball motion and how to play against all of these skills defensively will be the focus of our program.

While at training, you can check out OBLL (Oregon Box Lacrosse League) which will be using the larger arena at the same time.

OGLA News: Rumer's Game
by posted 08/19/2019

Rumer Nicole Morrison

October 30th, 1998 - August 12th, 2019

A celebration of life. A life that belonged to what many have come to recognize as the strongest and most inspiring human they have ever met. Rumer Morrison, diagnosed with cancer in June of 2017, finally reached the end of her long and arduous journey on August 12th, 2019 at the age of 20. Taking a quote from her most recent Blog post (which you should certainly read as she was a phenomenal writer: https://rumermorrison.wixsite.com/mysite) “The last thing I ever want is for people to feel bad for me because of this.”  Rumer does not want your pity. She does not want you to feel badly for her. She does not want anyone to dwell on her struggles. Rather, Rumer would want you to take life on head first as she did. To live life to its fullest. To tell those you care about how much you love them. To be vulnerable and ask for help when you need it. To be inspired by her strength and her perseverance through any adversity that you face. Rumer, 20 years young, was wise enough to know that everyone’s journey is different, but, no matter what, do not give up and do not try to go at it alone. Rumer, your spirit and your love of the world around you will live on to help inspire those to live as purely as you did. Rumer’s Life after Death Party will be held on Sunday, September 15th, 2019 at the Scholls Valley Lodge.

In order to help celebrate Rumer and her love for the beautiful game of lacrosse, Oregon Girls Lacrosse Association and a few active community members have decided to host a fundraiser for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital (at the request of her family). This will be in the form of a Lacrosse Game aptly titled Rumer’s Game.  Please save the date for Sunday, October 27th, 2019 (more details will follow). Past teammates, current teammates, and local community members should contact Brittany Hartmann - for any questions regarding participation, donations, or otherwise.

If you would like to help in any way, the family has requested that you visit Rumer’s GoFundMe page to help with medical expenses. Any additional money earned by the family will be donated to Doernbecher. If you would like to share memories, stories, or pictures, please visit her Obituary Page:

Rest in peace, Rumer, journey well done!
